Hanging in there

Finally went to the doctors last week and found out why I feel so bad. Turns out its nothing infectious (yay) but instead it has to do with my allergies.
I have a serious allergy to bee and wasp stings, and I am allergic to dust, cockroaches (yep) and some grasses and pollens. Its been under control for the past few years but this is the first summer I have lived in Palm Beach and I guess there is something here thats making it worse. The sore throat and congestion is due to a "post nasal drip" which is fluid from my sinuses dripping down the back of my throat and irritating it. This may also explain my tiredness because it disturbs my sleep. And the weird dizziness and head pains are attributed to fluid and congestion creating a vacuum in my eustachian tube and putting pressure on my eardrum. I've been trying different medications to see which help without having weird side effects. So there's a whole novel on my health!
In other news, we are embroiled in the home buying process - yet another thing keeping me away from my camera and the outdoors. I will be glad when its all over and I can finally relax.

Here are some shots of the fish.

Freshwater fish: Darter

Saltwater Fish: Maroon clown

Electric Blue-leg hermit crab

Amphibians of Juno Dunes

Here are some shots from Juno Dunes a few weeks ago.

Oak Toad

Green Tree Frog

Land Crab that wandered across our path

Apart from some walks on the beach in the evening, not much going on by way of nature outings lately. We saw some dolphins from the fishing pier last weekend so I will try remember my camera next time. It seems to be the same every year, things just get crazy around this time. And I won't even mention the H word!

Place holder

This has been an insane few weeks. I have had this lingering flu-like thing for a while and there has been a lot going on. Needless to say I have not had much of a chance to get out and do any photography. I really hope things settle down soon so I can get out and take some pics. Don't know where the time goes- I am still in denial that we are in August already.
In the meantime, here are a few dragonfly shots from a while back.
