Two weeks later and we are finally getting over "the bug."

Today was a beautiful day in the field. It was rather unusual in that there weren't many birds around, but there were tons of mammals. Squirrels and armadillos were abundant.



I saw two playful otters that took turns alternately surfacing like periscopes, snorting, and diving beneath the water and weeds, only to pop up again a short distance away. I sat with them for about ten minutes until they got bored with me and swam off. I was hoping they would nuzzle each other or something so that I could have a Valentines Day type picture, but alas, it was not to be.





I've started my second MBA class, and so far, so good.Right now I am just happy to not be feeling sick all the time.

Well, almost.

I managed a visit to the beach this weekend to get some much needed fresh air and sunshine.

At the end of the week, I am wrapping up my first 5 week class. Then I get a week's respite before the madness begins again! It has been challenging balancing work and school, and occasionally having a life in between! It all caught up with me this week, unfortunately, as I caught the flu while traveling. I still hope to get out and spend some quality time outside while I am on "winter break."
