A snowy day in Boulder

This week I was in Boulder, CO for a meeting and I arrived just in time for the season's first major snow. Took some cell phone pics around town.

Woke up to more snow the next morning!

It was great to come home to some cooler temps in FL this weekend. This week we are having our first real "cold front" which is a welcome break from the heat and humidity.

Until my next adventure!

Autumn Migration

Just got back from Toronto. It was nice to get a break from the election coverage!

A quick walk through High Park yielded some spectacular fall colors. For most folks this is nothing new but for a tropical person like me, it is magic.

Wood ducks

Some interesting carving

Of course, the day I am stuck inside all day in meetings is the day with beautiful sunshine. Typical!

A favorite hangout. A colleague introduced me to the place on my last visit and I returned twice this time!

Then, a drive through the countryside for a field meeting. I enjoyed more fall colors and some beautiful scenery.

Traditional farming methods.

Recently, I also spent some more time in Colorado.

Had some down time before my meeting so I drove out to the famed Morrison formation, home to dinosaur bones and footprints. I was obsessed with dinosaurs as a child so it fulfilled a lifelong dream to visit this place.

The trail gave a good perspective on the geologic processes that created the Rocky Mountains. It was interesting to see the uplifting of these sedimentary layers.

In between dashing around North America, I spend time at my favorite local spots.

Thats all for now, until my next adventure!
