The local bluejays have been bringing their babies to the garden. Even though they are perfectly capable of feeding themselves, they still beg whenever the parents are near.

My next Flagstaff outing was the Kachina trail, in search of the red-faced warbler. Great views at over 9,000 ft.
White-faced nuthatch
Finally, a jewel in the trees, the bird I had come to see!
There were a few red-faced warblers squabbling amongst themselves. Watched them for a bit until the weather turned suspicious. I got out of there before the snow started! Apparently snow in May is typical for the Flagstaff area.
That's the last of the Arizona vacation pics. Things have been crazy around here with lots of work being done on the house, so not many opportunities for photography. Things are winding down, finally! Had another hummingbird stop by last weekend, wondering if it is the same one we saw before. It is unusual to see them here at this time of year. I am hoping they decide to stay year-round!
